The plan is to remove  her ventilator  today.  They ended up taking it out mid-morning and will be watching her closely.  They really want her to breath on her own and be feeding a little bit before she goes in for heart surgery.  She is on a nasal cane now but her breathing is hard for her.  Mettie is more awake now and opening her eyes more.

So much thick secretions.  One thick bubble.
